James earned a B.Eng. from Queen’s University in 2006 and took a corporate role at Telus (Toronto). He began raising investor capital and acquiring pre-construction condominiums, semi-detached, and detached properties. In 2008, James left Telus to pursue real estate development full-time and has completed more than twenty successful projects. In 2013, he became a licensed mortgage broker. James’ key knowledge base includes value acquisitions, equity/debt raises, investor relations, multi-unit design, municipal zoning and Ontario Building Code compliance. James takes projects from acquisitions through to building permits. Outside of work, James spends time with his wife and family and enjoys playing hockey and golf.
Emery earned a B.Sc. from UBC in 1993 and a Chartered Accounting designation in 2001. His interest in real estate began while working with clients in that field as Senior Manager Ernst & Young (Vancouver). In 2007, he relocated to Toronto to capitalize on the GTA real estate market and acquired/redeveloped five long-term hold properties with a focus on up-market multi-unit rentals. His key knowledge base includes multi-unit development, construction processes, financial reporting/taxation, and the Ontario Residential Tenancies Act. Emery runs Percy Ellis Construction Inc. and takes projects from building permits to stabilization/disposition.
